Dr. Fauci visits D.C. to battle vaccine hesitancy

TRANSCRIPT - TWO EXCERPTS

TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: This promotional clip is for a documentary by PBS, "American Masters: Dr. Tony Fauci". I have not watched the documentary itself, but from the description on the webpage

https://www.pbs.org/wnet/americanmasters/anthony-fauci-documentary/23072/

it appears to be one portraying Dr. Fauci as a laudable American: "Follow Dr. Anthony Fauci as he grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic and his 50-year career as the nation's leading public health advocate. American Masters: Dr. Tony Fauci reveals a rarely seen side of the physician, husband and father as he confronts political backlash, a new administration and questions of the future." The scenes in the promotional clip were filmed in June of 2021 in Anacostia, an African-American neighborhood in southeast Washington DC. Given the low rates of vaccination in this neighborhood, Mayor Muriel Bowser and Dr. Anthony Fauci, with entourage and film crew in tow, knock on doors. Most of the people shown in the 7 minute-long promotional clip were enthusiastic about having been vaccinated, and delighted, even thrilled to meet Dr. Fauci in person. There were, however, two exceptions, in which residents challenged Mayor Bowser and Dr. Fauci, these transcribed here. The film was clearly heavily edited, therefore I have indicated cuts.

Unlike the other videos for which I made transcripts for this main archive, this one was not censored or shadow-banned; on the contrary, it was widely circulated as a promotional clip for a television documentary and it pretended to show those who questioned the covid injections in a negative light. That most certainly is not my intention, nor the intention of this archive.

FIRST EXCERPT

3:18

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER (on steps of a house, just before knocking, to Dr. Anthony Fauci): People aren't really opposed——

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: Yeah I know.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: But they do need a push.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: They need a little push.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: A push and a drag.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: Yeah.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: [laughs]

SECOND EXCERPT

3:45

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: What are we going to do about those other states?

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: Oh my God. They're going to keep the outbreak smoldering in the country. It's so crazy. I mean—

[cut]

They're not doing it because they say they don't want to do it, they're Republicans, they don't like to be told what to do.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: Right.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: And we got to break that, you know, unpack that.

[cut to a new doorstop scene]

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: How you guys doing with vaccine?

WOMAN IN BLUE MASK ON PORCH [a younger woman and a small child appear in in the doorway behind her]: Oh.

WOMAN IN DOORWAY: Hello.

WOMAN IN BLUE MASK ON PORCH: [inaudible] I'm going for the interview soon.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: Oh, you should get it first.

WOMAN IN BLUE MASK ON PORCH: Oh.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: OK? That way you won't give it to them.

WOMAN IN BLUE MASK ON PORCH: I thought, I thought I would give it to them if I get it.

[cut]

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: No! No, not at all! In fact we got to get you vaccinated so that if you were to get infected you could pass it on to them.

[cut]

WOMAN IN BLUE MASK ON PORCH: OK.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: So you're actually protecting your family by them getting them vaccinated.

[cut]

WOMAN WITHOUT MASK, STANDING IN DOORWAY: Well, I heard that it doesn't, um, cure it and it doesn't, um, stop you from getting it.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: No.

WOMAN WITHOUT MASK, STANDING IN DOORWAY: So.

[cut]

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: On the very, very, very rare chance that you do get it even if you're vaccinated, it's a very, you don't even feel sick, it's like you don't even know you got infected. It's very, very good at protecting you.

[cut]

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: [inaudible] Anacostia, so get up there.

WOMAN IN BLUE MASK ON PORCH: OK.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: OK?

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: Alright. See you later.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: Thank you. Have a good day.

[cut]

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: The people in America are not settled with the information that's been given to us right now. [while the man is speaking, camera cuts to view of Mayor Bowser frowning]. [cut] So I'm not going to be lining up taking a shot or and a vaccination for something that wasn't clear in the first place. And then you all create a shot in miraculous time. It takes years to——

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: But [inaudible] ——

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: create vaccinations.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: ——Dr. Fauci [inaudible] vaccine.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: Well, it used to take years.

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: OK, it used to, it did used to take years.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: You know how many years were invested in this, in this approach? About 20 years of science to get us to be able to do a good——

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Twenty years is not enough. And nine months is definitely not enough——

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: No——

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: ——for nobody to be taking no vaccination that you all came up with.

[cut]

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: The only reason I'm talking to you right now, as close as we are, is that I've been vaccinated.

[cut]

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Right.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: But if it allow thousands of people like you don't get vaccinated, you're going to let this virus continue to percolate in this country and then this world.

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Something like the common flu then, right?

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: And not like, not like the common flu.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: It's much more serious that the flu.

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Well the flu killed a lot of people actually too.

[cut]

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: You know how many people died of the flu the last year? I mean, not this year, virtually none, but the previous year? About 20-30 thousand. And you know how many people have died from covid 19 in the United States? 600,000 Americans.

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Well you, well that, well, the, the number that you all giving that died, that, that's once again, that's you all's number.

[cut]

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: You gonna pass?

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Yeah. Definitely.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: Alright.

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Because when you start talking about paying people to get vaccinated, when you start talking to me about incentivizing things to get people vaccinated, there's something else going on with that.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: Yeah, it's, I—

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Something else, something else going on with that.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: It is something going on with it.

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: Yeah, something else.

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: You're right. But I'm glad millions of people, like me and most everybody here [indicates entourage of several people], didn't get a [inaudible]. You know what their incentive was? Protecting their health and protecting the city. But that's ——[she waves dismissively, and starts to walk away] I won't keep you any more.

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: It's OK because my, my,——

[camera shows Dr. Fauci with arms crossed and smiling smugly, as he, Mayor Bowser, and their entourage walking away; camera then returns to filming man on his doorstep, calling after them]

MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER: Thank you, thank you for your time.

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: My, my incent——

[cut]

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP [calling after Mayor Bowser, Dr. Fauci, and entourage as they walk away]: Your campaign is about fear. It's about inciting fear in people! You all attack people with fear.

[cut]

MAN IN BASEBALL CAP ON DOORSTEP: That's what this pandemic is. It's fear, it's fear, this pandemic. That's all it is.

[cut]

DR. FAUCI is shown sitting in the back of a sedan. He takes a small bottle of hand sanitizer and sprays his palm. Then we hear the sound of his hands rubbing together.

Thanks for your comment, much appreciated.

Well, actually, I would assume that many of the people watching this PBS documentary would hold a dismissive and patronizing attitude towards this "vaccine hesitant" person who lives in a "disadvantaged" neighborhood, so I don't know that showing this footage would have had much effect with them, other than to reenforce what they already believed. As for most of us here, however, well, that's another story. To me, and I would imagine to many of you here, on this issue, he looks like a perceptive, self-respecting, and courageous person.

Does anyone know who this man in the baseball cap is? His name, anything about him? Ditto the woman standing in the doorway in the earlier scene? Seems to me that, unless someone already did and I missed it, for a local reporter this could be a terrific story, to seek these people out and interview them.

I did notice that Mayor Bowser has recently come down with the cooties:

That's an awfully large number of jabs she will have taken by now, I would think.

"He takes a small bottle of hand sanitizer and sprays his palm. Then we hear the sound of his hands rubbing together." ugh! It's so sad that we have germaphobes Fauci and Gates controlling public health. For them there's always something out there that's going to kill us!! The whole vaccine debacle comes out of that. It's really tragic. I believe that the two oldest traditions of healing on the planet, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda have no concept of contagion. They see disease as the bodily systems being out of balance, so their treatments are directed to restoring that balance.

Fauci is a creature of our corrupt corporate system. He has a type of engaging, charismatic "nice guy" persona hard to counter. PBS once did real investigative journalism. This appears to be a propagandistic fraud and I'm sure they are getting plenty of Pharma money.

1. Russia entered the Donbass at the invitation of its leaders. They asked for help because the Kyiv regime was building up for an invasion by the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion to put an end to the 8-year rebellion against ethnic genocide that had been going on there.

2. The phrase "the banality of evil" was coined by Hannah Arendt, whose works on totalitarianism I highly recommend.

3. Biodiesel is no better for the environment than a hybrid vehicle because it's produced by mononoculture agriculture using GMO grains that require application of fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. In light of your initial paragraphs, how is it that instead of just looking for substitutes we aren't asking why the massive amounts of lithium and other essential minerals aren't being recycled? The short answer, of course, is that there's no financial incentive even though at least one lithium recycling process produces batteries that are actually better than the originals.

All those plastic islands in the oceans could have been made into other things, or even other plastics, but it's cheaper to make new so no one cared to undertake the process of reducing the cost of recycling on a major scale.

I could go on, but I suspect I've made my point. As of right now, everything being touted as "saving the planet" is nothing but performance art designed and implemented by the polluters to guilt-trip the consumers they've trained to always want the shiny new object whether it's needed or not. Why fight to end factory farming if we can persuade everybody to go vegan then sell them fake meat made with GMO grains and legumes?

Frankly, we need to stop buying stuff. And we need to start demanding what we do buy be of sufficient quality it doesn't need replacing every year. And that we get serious about recycling, including funding research to develop ways to do it that might also help clean up the toxins in our air, water, soil and bodies.

We humans have a responsibility to the cycle of life to do our best to do no harm, but we need to stop allowing the real criminals to make us feel like it's all our fault.

I personally thought #1 or something do with Biolabs were the most likely reasons why the invasion occurred, but I can't commit to either because there is so much I don't know.

A lot could very bad things could be said about the Azov batallion, but I have to keep these focused on the key points.

Wait for part 2! : )

I suspect the Russians knew about the biolabs, considering how quickly they exposed their existence. However, they had been providing support for the Donbass militia for the entire 8 years the region was under assault. When Zelensky, impelled no doubt by his sock-puppeteers, announced the intent to invade the region and quell the rebellion once and for all, the people there declared independence (previously, they were willing to settle for being autonomous regions) and asked for direct military support.

My friends in Ukraine say the Ukraine East-West dispute is of long standing, but the Donbas agreed to the partition in the 90's. The Donbas has a very long history involving the Russian/Ukraine mix that must be understood. Not sure any of us US citizens can get past the propaganda now associated with the area.

Expand full comment

It seems, then, that the Donbas changed its collective mind in 2014 after the US-sponsored coup. Or are we just going to ignore that?

What happened in the 1990s is irrelevant at this point, other than that's when promises were made to Russia that NATO wouldn't encroach on its borders. Which, apparently, was a promise never intended to be kept.

Expand full comment

Somehow those involved didn't think it a "US-sponsored coup". Those citizens reorganized again to oppose the Russian attempt at invasion. This was before the arms from the West began to flow and before Ukraine expanded it's army. I am sure that the US meddled in the Euromaidan events but more to take credit for an organic effort. Yanukovych was illegitimate in the view of many citizens, but was more East-West conflict. His behavior since might affirm the citizens who opposed him.

As noted, troubles in the Donbas have been on-going even prior to 2008 but Russian interference in 2014 after the fall of Crimea and a fake referendum created new conflicts.

Ukraine has not yet become a NATO member but the 90's agreement was negated by Russia. Perhaps that's why Finland, of all places, decided to join NATO after so many years - the treat of future aggression.

Expand full comment

There is a literal recording of Victoria Nuland deciding who would replace Yanukovich in 2014. It doesn't matter what people think or believe; the US was responsible for the ouster of Yanukovich, the selection of his predecessor, and has been manipulating the Ukrainian government ever since to advance the goal of fragmenting Russia into easily exploited smaller states.

As for that "fake referendum" fairy tale, repeating it in the face of the Crimean resistance to Ukrainian attempts to invade it, directly or via terrorist attacks, marks the person declaring it as either suffering from severe cognitive bias or deliberately spreading propaganda.

Until covid, I generally believed that global warming was occurring and that it was being driven by the enormous amounts of CO2 that we're putting into the atmosphere. Since covid, however, I've become a global warming skeptic. There are climate scientists who state that even though global temps were rising into the year 2000, there's been no warming for the past 15 years at least. Among those who do believe global temps are continuing to warm, some are saying we have plenty of time to figure out solutions, 100 years at least, and that's IF the climate does continue to warm. So we are NOT at a climate tipping point and we are NOT facing a climate emergency. (How about a hydrogen combustion engine? We just need to figure out an efficient way to create hydrogen from water). Regarding the global warming propaganda, my new rule is that if many governments around the world are promoting a narrative that will 1) give them more control over the people, and/or 2) give them an excuse to raise taxes or steal land from the people, they are lying!

That's an excellent rule!

Years ago we had a neighbor who was a fireman and on his days off he had a one man construction company. He did some repair work on our deck. He drove a large pick up that had a big tank on the back. He told us that he figured out how to convert used cooking oil into diesel and so he made a deal with the local fast food restaurants to take their used oil. He said that his system exhaust was H2O. I thought it was genius so I did some research. Turns out the original plan for petroleum based fuel was going to be diesel but converting to gas was cheaper - of course.

Expand full comment

The climate is being artificially manipulated. Climate Change is real, but it isn't what they are telling you it is from. It's partly to do not with CO2, but because of synthetic refrigerants created by industry (these entities & their controllers/financiers are what people should be looking at) corporations like Honeywell & Dupont/Dow that are the real pollutants.

Also, hydrogen from water has already been invented, but suppressed. See Stan Meyers it runs on water documentary. Or the Joe Cell. Or many others like Rossi's ecat-sk.

Expand full comment

right. I know we can use electrolysis to create H2 from water and that fuel cells can use H2 as fuel to drive cars. But my thinking was if we could figure out a way to easily convert the internal combustion engine to run on hydrogen AND if we could produce hydrogen efficiently in terms of energy required, we've got all these internal combustion engines already up and running--millions of them--that we could switch over to using H2 as fuel. So instead of emitting CO2 and water into the atmosphere from burning hydrocarbons, we would be emitting ONLY water from burning H2.

Ah, you at least mention the limitation: "... if we could produce ... in terms of energy required..." That is the linchpin, the reason that nearly all alternative tehcnogies are "dead on arrival." Not just hydrogen, but also EVs, and probably many more. They work in theory. The problem is they aren't remotely economically competitive with what they propose to supplant. It would require truly revolutionary cheap primary energy, e.g. cheap nuclear fusion, to make it workable.

Triillions of dollars are going to transfer to the already-wealthy and corporations that are 'in the right place at the right time' (aka, they are connected to insiders in the system--The Enrons and those who build solar and wind turbines) and billions of people are going to die from creating energy too expensive to use and food too expensive to purchase. Its all a gigantic fraud that is will turn out to be the largest white collar crime in the world. 👏👏👏👏👏 Bravo! Excellent synopsis of the lengthy and continued patterns of systemic corporatised abuse, disguised as the "common masses" sloth and ignorant inattention. I'm not saying that everyday people can't do better, but I'm really tired of big business and government bureaucracy telling the average Joe that the reason we must pay higher taxes to implement recycling programs (that dont work or are incomplete) is because WE are too lazy or ignorant of the "complex science of climate change", instead of the TRUTH, which is large corporations commit ecocide to appease s shareholders and profits, while captured agencies/governments, brainwash and guilt the public! Everytime one of the corporate cash cows gets sacrificed to appease the masses growing frustration (like DDT, Duponts PFAS poisoning, Mosantos roundup ready glysophate, and the current baby-the aluminium industry's fluoride waste as health product, etc), they buy a distraction for the public, appear to close shop, but reopen under a new name or buy new regulators and legislation, and the whole cycle starts again.🤨😐😑🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

At what point does it end?🤔 Perhaps, when enough people have been injured or died from this latest "health shot"? But realistically I think the reinvigorated publicity on fluoride effects, will act as a cover for so many other damages done.☹😭

I do so appreciate and therefore acknowledge and praise your bravery for telling the truth. I have done my own research for the past twenty plus years and I could add even more to your words. For example, few people know that the 'Don't Be a Litterbug' campaign was launched by a consortium of five major corporations who used plastic, either in their products or packaging, and could see ahead to the problems of disposal. Thus, instead of finding other ways to make their products, they put the onus on the end user public to properly keep the waste out of sight.

Furthermore, in spite of all the righteous rhetoric about the US being the most responsible with waste using recycling and proper disposal, much, if not most, of our waste gets loaded into shipping containers, sent to asian countries where it is sorted by slave labor and then dumped - eventually reaching the ocean.

I'm not an activist, btw, I am a reasonable person who knows the difference between self righteous virtue signaling and what is basic and true. All I can see is the book of Revelation unfolding before our eyes - and they did not repent. Revelation 20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.

But "unless and until"one understands a prior position to the world, a prior understanding of the nature of human existence altogether, the literal manifest world, that great and hurtful paradox that we must also somehow deal with every day, will be the hell one lives in and as. Such transcendence can only be realized, never attained. All ancient and profound traditions point to this. As for the paradoxical mess of our times, it is both simpler to understand and harder to comprehend. Go Figure.

As for those who are worth noting and supporting, I can only say that the ones who belong in governance are those who show profound signs that they live to serve mankind. So, regardless of many things, and knowing everyone has baggage aplenty, I find that RFK Jr. is well worth our attention and support.
