Folks who carry a lot of financial debt cannot choose whether or not to comply. It’s a pretty common form of slavery, even if it is ultimately self-imposed.

I can’t help but notice there are overlapping similarities with addiction.

Good analogy!

I'd disagree with self-imposed. I don't remember ceding govt authority to print currency to a bunch of banksters (it happened before I was born). And once they've got the system set up (and using entrainment tech & propaganda to encourage debt), we're trapped until we create an alternative. The banksters like it when we disparage each other instead of looking at the Himalayan-slope playing field.

I understand your point of view and completely agree the Banksters are evil. But Debt is still something that people literally sign up for.

I’ve been aware that the situation we find ourselves in was coming for over three decades. I read about Bretton Woods and I watched Nixon remove us from the Gold Standard. I remember the gas lines of the 1970’s. As such I made a promise to my self and my family to only pay for things in cash as I could afford them. My journey has been ENORMOUSLY difficult at times. Yet, in many ways, it has become totally freeing.

There were times when I didn’t own a car. I made a living selling junk on eBay. All of my clothing and children’s clothing was second-hand. I haven’t had a television for 35 years. We spent a lot of time at the library because it’s free and we’ve each learned a lifetime of self-sufficiency skills. It was not easy but it has surely paid off.

I know better than most that the playing field is not level. It’s precisely why I REFUSE to play their game.

I don't have any debt or a TV either, for the same 'sussed-out-the-game' reasons, but I'm in a compassionate mood today. As much as it frustrates me that people won't see what's so obvious to us, the banksters make it really difficult and I feel sad for those who aren't capable of looking or understanding or escaping once they fell into the trap. They're going to pay a heavy price.

I totally agree. It’s devastating to watch as the tsunami approaches. But I will help the folks who aren’t prepared...even the ones who made fun of me for being a nut job “conspiracy theorist”.

You're more saintly than me, Meme. I'll only help those who weren't sure or too busy trying to survive personal issues. If their judgement is bad AND they're mean-spirited, they need to somewhere I'm not at all times :)
