Unfortunately, the voracious ruling elite are not happy with 99% of all wealth and want every last drop--100%. In order to accomplish this objective they would need to demolish the last vestiges of democracy and introduce a technocratic neofeudal surveillance state. In fact, many of the strategies deployed by China would be implemented in the US.
It should be noted, that it doesn't matter what political party you support--Repubs or Dems the outcome will be the same. Techno/fascist billionaires and trillion dollar asset management firms are determined to make neofeudalism great again.
