Several months ago, I listened to the Robert Yoho interview (on substack) with an 80 year old doing CD and DMSO. I realized why I dismissed it years ago and decided to try again. The secret is to add water. DMSO seeks H2O.

I bought a spendy 3 oz bottle from the health food store. Product is from www.dmsostore.com. Then I went to the farm supply and bought a more economical dmso gel formula for horses. This product is from Valhoma Corporation, Tulsa, OK www.dmso.com

I use the horse dmso gell on my face after washing. Within days I noticed how smooth my skin was. Then I started applying it all over my body after my shower. All little lumps bumps skintags disappeared after a month or so.

Now I’m trying the non gel, spendy health food store dmso mixed with filtered water in an eye wash. My eye exam a year ago indicated the beginning of a cataract in one eye. Well I’m not thrilled about eye surgery. Anyway….

No problems so far, and eyes feel good.

Having read Midwestern doctor, I’ll probably be experimenting more as soon I finish winterizing the homestead.

DMSO is often used for skin conditions (but haven't gotten to that one yet).

Can it help acne? I have tried everything for my two late teen children from antifungal cream, ivermectin cream, parasite cleanses, vitamins, diatomaceous earth, iodine- they eat extremely healthy-you name it I’ve done it. It’s torture not finding the answer for them! Anything you can offer would be golden to me!

I’m not a doctor I just think about it and experiment. Personally I’d apply Chlorine Dioxide to the skin first, then apply DMSO. Chlorine dioxide is am amazing disinfectant! Ive used it on burns and cuts. I Order from Safrax.

Acne, if I am right, is exacerbated by a hormonal imbalance. If there is a way to better regulate that imbalance naturally, then it might be that help would be soon coming.

Teens will almost assuredly have to go through it.

Hi there wanted to let you know that my daughter's severe acne was cleared by using a natural supplement called DIM...it is the natural compound found in cruciferous vegies. it was amazing. We had tried many things as well.

Take DIM at night as it causes some intense gas! May be embarrassing for a teen during the day, or epic who knows!

DIM is great for cystic acne! Also zinc soap and sulfur cleansers

Thank you for this! I have heard on DIM. I wonder if males can take it as well? I will look into it. I have yet to try it. I thought I was onto something with the fungal cream for a bit with my daughter, but it just morphed to a different type and location of acne.

DIM helped my adult acne too!

What completely cured my acne as a child was a diet. When I recommended it to a friend he went from severe acne to clean face in two weeks. Diet involved avoiding all animal fat and fried food in general. Only lean meat, no pork. No cheese.

In retrospect, I speculate this might be certain AGEs, Advanced Glycation End-products that accumulate in the skin glands, triggering immune reactions. If so then butter and other animal fat may be ok when not heated to high temperature, but not cheese as it contains a lot of AGEs from the maturation process.

Thank you for this! Wonderful news for your friend! Both my children eat extremely healthy-never processed or fried, no seed oils, green smoothies with some fruit, no milk, never pork and all organic -we tried gluten free and didn’t make a difference. Thanks for your thoughts! I welcome anything!

Hi, this is a strange one but it worked for me with adult acne years ago and now works for my teen despite her initial reaction. We've also helped a few church friends with the suggestion to try it with astounding results. Egg yolk mask. Really. Daily for one week. The difference is stark. My daughter recently started adding a tiny bit of manuka honey to the egg yolk, and she noted that it preserves the one yolk longer then the usual 4 days she can use it (stored, covered, in the fridge). I have long guesses that the high vitamin A content of the yolk was a large part of it's success, but it's really amazing. I prefer to let it dry completely, but my daughter hates that, so she scrubs off after 5 minutes.

After reading your articles and doing some research I consulted with my daughter’s NP (this clinic is very familiar with your Substack) about using DMSO for her chronic skin condition called hidradenitis. There is little information on this condition. Main stream dermatologist have nothing to offer except medications or surgery that are detrimental and not effective. We have made a lot of changes that will help overall health but I needed something I could use during a flare. She had a flare in bikini area. I can describe it as a boil that can become painful. I decided to try the 50% dmso and iodine and put it on twice a day. For the first time the bump/boil/ hardness you could feel under skin started to decrease and soften. So I’m hopeful that this will help her. Look forward to reading more about dmso and skin conditions!

I have that too. If DMSO doesn’t work you can also try tea tree oil applied directly. You can also use oil of oregano applied with a carrier oil like olive oil. The tea tree oil stopped my flare up and dissolved it. But, I have used both in the past. Good luck!

Hi Michelle, my daughter (age 19) was also diagnosed with HS. She will not try DMSO because apparently, I don't smell so good (I use it for arthritis and used it for hemorrhoids). Did your daughter have any luck? Is it working? Does she only apply it externally? I drink it (about 3tsp per 10oz glass of water...3 times per day). I was just very interested to hear someone using it for HS.

Hi, after reading about dmso here I did a little more research and decided it was worth a try. I was desperate to find something we could use as treatment and to possibly prevent further flares that was safe. As you probably know the options for HS are not much help….there are side effect and recurrence is still a problem. We used it on a flare and it worked with in a few hours. We have been using it topically on areas where they usually appear. Right now she is only doing it topically. But orally might help so I’m not against trying that as well. I should add that I put iodine and then dmso on top. I am very hopeful.

Thanks for sharing this very helpful info. I am wondering if DMSO would be helpful with the fistulas under the skin (shrinking them or keeping them from flaring again)

And, would DMSO reduce the scar tissue from old inactive areas? Stage 4 hidradenitis suppurativa

That is my hope. It is supposed to help with scar tissue. I am using it over surgery she had that left scar tissue.

I have a meibobian cyst on my left eye lid that keeps coming back. Do you think I could apply the 70% gel on my eyelid?

Also, I have a Morton’s neuroma on my fourth toe. I am going to see if the gel will help. I’ll let everyone know!

Castor oil is remarkable for skin conditions as well. It makes my skin moist and smooth. It only takes a drop or two smoothed gently after washing.

Let's not forget that cold pressed hexane free organic castor oil can help reduce cataracts & floaters. I know someone who used MSM eye drops, & another used NAC (carnosine version) for their cataracts. Check out earthclinic.com for good remedies.

Where can I purchase the NAC carnosine eye drops? Earth clinic is closed.

Marcia K.'s avatar

You misunderstood. earthclinic.com sells nothing. They are NOT a store & they are NOT closed. It is a website that shares alternative health remedies. If you go to that website, & put your health issue in the search bar- You will see suggestions for alternative remedies.

Can-c eye drops can be bought at many places on line. profound-health.com is only one source. You need to read ALL of the product labels before you buy anything. You have to find a place that does NOT put PEG in it or any other poisons.

nacdrops.com is another source. They have colloidal silver in their product which other companies do not use with the Carnosine.

I used the gel on my forehead for keratosis for 10 days. My skin has been flaking off. Did you experience this? I'm hoping that a smooth blemish free skin will be the result. Maybe the damaged skin is being replaced with fresh new skin.

Yes it’s meant for animals, on their skin. I bought Three products, one for human use and two for animals. They all claim to be 99% pure. Big difference in price. So far, no problem for me. However, if this concerns you, go to the DMSO store website. And by all means listen to Dr. Yoho on substack. ❤️

If you just do an internet search lots of interesting articles and studies on dmso pop up. And you can call the companies that sell it and ask questions.

Personally , for research, I use duck duck go as a search engine. Google search engine pushes the good stuff wayyy down.
