Regarding forest fires, an argument often put forth by conservatives is that the blue states are not practicing effective forest management because they don’t want to disturb nature—making fires more likely. I believe there’s some truth in this. Could it have been a factor in Lahaina?

I know in California, a major issue is that the firefighting industry lobbies against forestry control methods being done (and gets the environmentalists to buy in) so they can keep on being paid a lot to fight fires. It's similar to how the prison guard unions lobied for stricter legal penalties that put more people in prison.

exactly the point, dividing along party lines is an old strategy
it works wonders, especially with media enablers
That is beyond the pale, just evil re the firefighting lobbying
although forest management has been relinquished and Lahaina and Upcountry was a tinderbox, that does nothing to explain causation
There is irrefutable evidence, and severe consequences for posting
