My mother who lives in the UK had the first shot (her sister took her for it against my will and lied to my mother about it). I visited her less than a week later and spent 3 months with her. During this time I missed my period the first month, then it was abnormal for a while after that. (I canceled the second shot for her). She developed a rash on her arms which went away, but she also developed a nasty, itchy rash on her legs that still hasn't gone away three years later. When I came home and was around my husband my period stopped again and was abnormal for a few months. He admitted to me that he had taken the shot in secret. Although I am in my late 40's, and therefore wondering if it is menopause starting, it was very coincidental that things went back to normal for me when I wasn't around my mother or my husband.
